Baby Shower Decorations - Ideas for Creative and Inspiring Theme Decor

Creative and inspiring baby shower decorations can turn a baby shower into an occasion your guests will never forget. A baby shower is surely one of the most fun and meaningful celebrations that exist so why not make it as festive as possible? What could be better than celebrating the impending birth of a new baby?

If you have chosen a theme for your party then all your baby shower decorations should tie in with that. Do some research over the Internet to help you choose a theme if you don't have one yet. To get you started here are three innovative ideas for baby shower decorations that you might want to include in your party planning:

1) Bootie Decorations - To make "bootie" baby shower decorations you will need a few packages of large marshmallows, toothpicks, frosting, a cake decorating bag and a cookie sheet. First mix up the frosting in the desired color for the booties. For each bootie use three marshmallows and two toothpicks. Put two marshmallows on top of each other and use a toothpick to join them. Put the third marshmallow next to the others and run a toothpick through the side.

This will join it to the bottom of the other two. These are your bootie baby shower decorations. Now take a star tip and frost all the marshmallows in pink, blue and yellow. Use other colors for accent or create white booties with pink or blue frosting ribbons. Let the booties dry and harden in the air.

2) Diaper Candy Dishes - To make diaper candy dishes as baby shower decorations you will need some white felt, paraffin wax, a double boiler and small gold safety pins. Start by cutting pieces of felt and fold them into a diaper shape. Add a safety pin to each side. Place the diaper upright. Melt the paraffin wax and put the upright diaper into it. Take the diapers out of the wax and place on a cookie sheet to cool. The diaper will have set in the diaper shape. Use nuts, candies or cookies to fill it and use it like a candy dish.

3) Diaper Napkins - To make diaper napkins as baby shower decorations you will need paper dinner napkins, 1 inch safety pins and peanut butter. Fold the napkin into a baby diaper shape. Place two safety pins on each side and use them as festive napkins and as decorations. You can even use the diapers to create a game for the baby shower. Fill some with peanut butter and whichever guest gets the "dirty diaper" gets a prize.
